What is a transaction fee, and why does it grow with you?
A transaction fee is the part of each sale a platform keeps. On Selar it is a percentage of the order plus a fixed ₦50, so every extra sale costs you a little more.
A flat plan works the other way. You pay the same ₦5,000 whether you make 10 orders or 100, so the more you sell, the cheaper each order gets.
Selar's paid plans do not remove the fee either. Its Turbo plan is ₦12,000 a month, and the 4% + ₦50 still comes off every sale on top of that.

To be fair to Selar, its 4% includes payment processing. On SendSawa, Korapay's fee on card payments is paid by the buyer at checkout, and a buyer who pays by bank transfer sends the money straight to your account with no fee. Either way, you receive your full price.

Why SendSawa suits physical goods better
Selar was built for digital products: ebooks, courses and downloads. When what you sell has a size, a colour and a last one in stock, you need a store that knows that.
Stock counts. The count drops with each order and shows "Few left", so you never sell the same last item twice.
